We may not all be in the same boat…

…but we are all in the same storm. I think that is a perfect way to describe how I’m feeling about Lockdown 2.0. I have never been more frustrated about anything since hospitality started to re-open. Speaking to clients and looking at some of my business, we would also see a steady increase week on week, then would come a change in the rules. Back to square one again. Week on week sales growth and then, guess what? Rule changes and then back to square one.

It’s my teams that I feel sorry for more than anything else and many of my clients feel the same way. You think, excellent, business is picking up, team can have more hours and start to earn a living, just for it all to be taken away again and it does hurt.

That all being said, we did have the good news about a possible vaccine, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for that. I suspect we should start hearing more information about the other Phase 3 trials that are currently going on. Also there was the news that Eat Out To Help Out may happen again in the new year. That is good news, however a part of me thinks that if this does come back, will it be because we are going to be in lockdown through December. I suspect one of my future blogs will share that answer.

I think that’s it for now. I hope you are all keeping safe and spending time with those that are most dear to you. Like I said before, we may not be all in the same boat, but we are in the same storm and maybe, just maybe, there is some blue sky on the horizon.

Take Care Everyone,

Steve & The Team
